In New Zealand there's nothing more exciting than watching one of our own make it big. Enter Samantha Shorter, our very own model extraordinaire. She's a regular at New Zealand fashion week, has modelled in countless catalogues for everyone from Ruby to Farmers and just to take things even closer to home, she also did the same degree that I'm in the process of undertaking right now. The above editorial sees stylist and photographer Natalie Cottee style Samantha in a grungy ode to sports luxe, combining heavily structured coats with track pants, football jerseys and slashed racer-back crops. The result is nothing less than definitive carefree cool, which might just have me taking a second glance at my running gear next time I'm planning an outfit.
