| 1-3: Me, myself and I at Whale Bay, 4: The amazing view, 5: The drive home |
Growing up in a coastal town, I've seen my fair share of picturesque ocean views. But let me tell you, I've never seen anything like the view from the lookout at my favourite beach, Whale Bay before. I had walked past the dusty, narrow track that leads to the lookout dozens of times on my way down to the beach below, but for some reason I had never ventured up it. Today Lewis and I decided to try our hand at hiking, and I am so happy that we did.
The view was indescribable. Without a doubt, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. The photos do it no justice. When the track ended and the trees cleared, I was actually in shock, completely speechless. In that spot with nothing but endless azure ocean in front of you, you feel like you're at the top of the world.
It's days like this that make me wish the holidays would never end.
